Most Popular iPhone Games
![]()
Deciding on what are the best iPhone games depends on what sort of games you like. Most people are looking for short games that are very enjoyable in the short term. After all, a long role playing game would not be appropriate for most users of the iPhone. One of the most enjoyable games tends to be the more simple ones.
Simple games for iPhone

There is a wide array of iPhone games in this category. For example, the bubble paper game, where you have to pop the little animated bubbles can be very fun and enjoyable. Tetris is still a favorite that has existed for years and years. But some games are meant to be familiar and distracting and fun, Tetris does meet that qualification. There are a lot of people that think anything that old could not be a favorite, but it still tends to top the list of the best games.
Cube Runner
Cube Runner is a treat for iPhone users, you tilt the phone back and forth to try and avoid the cube screaming towards you on the screen. Having played this game many times I can tell you it is far more addictive than is good for me.

I wish my high score was as high as this screenshot I found.
iShoot for iPhone
![]()
Another wonderful iPhone game is iShoot, while it does cost 3 bucks to get this game the hours of fun that you could get out of this game would be worth it. It is like the old game. It is a tank game where the last tank left alive wins. There are added weapons you can get between rounds to add to the normal little shells the tank comes with.
Galcon game

Another interesting game is Galcon. This is a sort of take over the universe game all set in the iPhone. So the universe is not all that big. But the idea is that you pilot your ships close to a planet to take it over, then that planet starts making more ships and you conquer more and more until you take it all over. Games don’t go more than five minutes and can be quite enjoyable. Yes you can spend hours at this but in little five-minute bites instead of all at once
SimCity
Another popular game making the transition from computer to iPhone is SimCity. The version that is on the iPhone is like the first version ever released to PC computers. It is just as addictive as it ever was but now your city follows you around wherever you take your iPhone. I admit to spending time with this on busses, in cars and instead of reading in the restroom because I wanted to get just a little more of my city built and running. Sure it is more expensive than many iPhone games but that does not make it less enjoyable.
Enigmo

The last game that we want to mention for the iPhone is Enigmo. This is a puzzle game where you tilt the phone and try to get liquids to flow across the screen to their destination. Speed is a factor, more ports are granted for faster times.
There are many good games for the Apple iPhone and it will take time to find the ones that you will really like, but you can start with the ones above. Happy gaming!
