The rain had stopped when Mary came out of her school. The weather was very nice. Grass along with rain drops was dancing with the pretty flowers. The sun which was hidden behind clouds started appearing. In short the weather was very good but Mary was not pleased at all. She was walking slowly towards her home. The basic reason behind her sadness was the attitude of her new class-fellow. Sonia was a very strange girl. She was very different from other. Yes, she was pretty that is why Mary wanted to befriend her but Sonia was not convinced about Mary’s sincerity. She wanted to spend her time on her own.

Mary tried her best to spend most of her time with Sonia. In result Sonia was becoming her friend gradually. It was impossible for Sonia to wait for that long. That was the basic reason behind her sadness.

Within the next week, Sonia started talking to Mary. She started sharing some stories and poems. Mary found them very strange; all this was quite confusing for her. Mary asked her that who had taught her these stories. She answered her that her elder sisters had taught her these stories and many other beautiful poems. Sonia only liked those stories which she had heard from her elder sisters. Whenever Mary said that she wanted to meet her sisters, she always replied; “yeah! I’ll take you their tomorrow.” But that tomorrow never came.
One day Mary decided to meet Sonia’s sisters herself. After the school Mary followed Sonia to her home. Without realizing that some one is following her, Sonia entered her house. Mary rang the door bell. Sonia’s mother opened the door. Mary told her that she is Sonia’s friend and she wanted to meet Sonia’s sisters. Sonia’s mother was quite surprised when she heard this. She told Mary that Sonia don’t have any elder sister. Mary was very confused so she asked Sonia’s mother if she can meet Sonia. After Sonia’s mother’s permission, Mary rushed towards Sonia’s room. Mary heard Sonia’s voice when she reached there. Mary looked inside the room from the window to see that who she was talking to but there was no one in her room except Sonia. Sonia was talking to her dolls. She was calling them with specific names.

Mary came outside. She was looking very confused. She asked Sonia’s mother that who are Tania and Sania? Sonia’s mother stared her and then took a deep breath. She told Mary, “They were the two elder sisters of Sonia and they passed away even before Sonia was born. We haven’t told any body about them. Even Sonia don’t know this either. How did you know that………………………….”
