The following events are scheduled by football association for the year 2009.

FIFA Confederations Cup

The FIFA Confederations Cup is an association football tournament for national teams, presently held after every four years by FIFA. The participants of the tournament are the winners of each of the six FIFA confederation championships (CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, UEFA, AFC, CAF, OFC,), the other two teams are the winner of FIFA World Cup and the host country, so the total number of teams are eight.
The event was initially organized by and held in Saudi Arabia and and at firstly it is known as the King Fahd Cup , in 1992 and 1995 it is organized by the Saudi national side and some other continents champions. In 1997, FIFA acquired the association and name it the FIFA Confederations Cup. At that time the competition held after every two years. From 2005, the Confederations Cup is organized after every four years.
Now the tournament held next year , host nation South Africa, USA, Spain, Iraq, Italy , Brazil and Egypt have already qualified for this tournament. Brazil and France win the title two times where as Argentina, Denmark, Mexico got one time. Let’s see who will be the winner of the next tournament.

FIFA U-17 World Cup

The FIFA U-17 World Cup is the world championship for male players under the age of 17 organized by FIFA.
The first tournament is in 1985 and after that it has been played every two years. Firstly this tournament is for players under the age of 16 but in 1991 the age limit increase up to 17. The latest tournament was hosted by South Korea and it was won by Nigeria. Th upcoming tournament will be played in Nigeria in 2009 and in Mexico in 2011.
Brazil and Nigeria wins three times each. Ghana has won the tournament two times where as France, Mexico, USSR, Saudi Arabia win one time.

FIFA U-20 World Cup

The FIFA U-20 World Cup, till 2005 recognized as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It is the world championship for male players under the age of 20 and is organized by FIFA. The Championship has been organized after every two years since the first tournament in 1977.
In Fifteen Tournaments, Argentina is the most victorious team with six titles, after argentina Brazil got four titles. Portugal won two titles, while Germany , Spain, and Soviet Union and Yugoslavia have won the one title. The 2009 tournament will be played in Egypt. The 2011 tournament will be played in Colombia. So lets see who wins.

UEFA European Under-17

The UEFA U-17 Championship is a yearly football contest organized by the sport's European governing body, UEFA. It was an Under-16 event from1982 to 2001.
In the twenty seven tournaments held, only eleven nations have won the title. Spain is the most successful team with eight titles, followed by Portugal with five titles. Italy, Germany, Russia, turkey won two titles, while France, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland has won the title once each. Next tournament will be played in Germany.

UEFA European Under-19

The European Under 19 Football Championship is an annual football contest controlled by UEFA. The tournament has been held since 1948. Firstly it is known as the FIFA junior tournament and it is taken over by UEFA in 1955. In 2002 the championship acknowledged with its present name. Upper level team of this championship will participate in FIFA U-20 World Cup.
England wins this tournament nine times. Spain wins 7 times where as France and USSR wins 6 times. Hungary win four times where as Portugal, Bulgaria, East Germany wins three times. Italy, Germany, Austria and Yugoslavia wins 2 times where as Czechoslovakia, Poland, Scotland, turkey, Belgium and Republic of Ireland wins one time. Next tournament will be played in Ukraine.

UEFA Women's Under-19

The UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship is a contest for the women's players under 19 years of age. It is also a qualifying tournament for FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship. . The competition started in the 1997-98 as an under-18 but in 2001-02 tehre are changes in some policies and change it to an under-19s event. Germany wins seven times where as Denmark, France, Spain, Russia and Italy wins one time. Next tournament will be played in Belarus.

UEFA European Under-21

The European Under-21 Football Championship is a football contest controlled by UEFA. It is played after two years. From 1967 to 1970 age limit extend up to 23 but from 1972 age limit was again reduced to 21. The winner of under- 23 champion are Czechoslovakia, Hungary and USSR. In U-21 tournament Italy wins five times where as England, Spain, USSR and Netherlands wins two times. Czech Republic France and Yugoslavia wins one time only. Next tournament will be played in Sweden.

UEFA Women's Championship

The UEFA Women's Championship, organized after four years, it is the importam competition in women's soccer. This tournament is occasionally called the European Women's Football Championship or Women's Euro.
Firstly it is known as UEFA European Competition for Representative Women's Teams. But with thewhen the woman football get the popularity, the competition get the title European Championship by UEFA in 1990. Total six Championships have been played, including three competitions under the name of European Competition for Representative Women's Teams. Germany wins six time, Norway two times and Sweden one time only. Next tournament will be played in Finland.

CONCACAF Gold Cup

The CONCACAF Gold Cup is the main football tournament of the men's national football teams organized by the CONCACAF.
In the total nineteen championships, only seven nations have won the title. Mexico won the tournament seven times. USA had four titles where as Costa Rica holds three. Canada got two titles, and Honduras, Haiti, Guatemala with one title each.
