Review

N95 is a slide phone with 3G technology. Just like all other side phones it has navigation keys for various purposes. Navigation also includes dedicated keys for playing media. You can access media player directly from these keys. When you slide the phone you view the full keypad. The key pad is small and really easy to handle. Basic interface of the phone is similar to other symbian phones. If you ever use a symbian cell phone then I don't think so you will have any problem handling this phone.

The display screen of N95 is really impressive and there is a detector which manages the brightness of the screen. I think its display is really marvelous, best ever on a Nokia phone. Looks like Nokia is also considering display as a major aspect of their phones and they are working hard for it. Important feature of the N95 is its 5MP camera. It is one of the first phones to touch the 5 mega pixel barrier. N95 is a successor of N93. N93 had the best camera before the release of N95. There is a problem that there is no optical zoom feature in the N95. This is really a disappointing that a phone with a 5MP lacks optical zoom. Despite of this issue other standard features are present in the phone like flash and auto focus.

The connectivity of N95 is really good. You can attach your cell with your pc via Bluetooth, Infrared and USB. The phone also support wireless LAN and you can connect your phone with TV. Internal Memory of the phone is 160 MB and card slot is present in phone. You can extend memory up to 2 GB. The cell phone also offers GPS facility. Your phone is directly connected to satellite. You can track you position through this feature. To avail this facility, you have to buy Nokia's license for mapping system.

The mobile phone supports almost all famous media formats. So you can add your favorite songs to a play list to enjoy music while relaxing or on the move. The product also has FM radio. Talky ring tone is another interesting feature offered by the phone.

Pros and Cons

First of all, like any other Symbian cell phone, N95 offers very short battery life. Secondly the phone is really slow and freezes or shuts down more frequently. The phone is really large and heavy and its firmware is also not stable. Maybe some future upgrade will address this issue. The GPS facility is not so accurate, but reasonable for a phone. Although it's a really nice and cool product, it has its limitations as mentioned. So now it's your choice to decide. The ball is in your court now!
